The 10th anniversary of the Tana High-Level Forum on Security in Africa was scheduled to take place from 25-29 October 2021. However, due to a collision with a series of state activities of the host country, Ethiopia, the dates for the Forum have been moved to 25-28 November 2021 under the theme “Managing Security Threats: Building Resilience for the Africa We Want.” in a hybrid format.
After deliberations between the Tana Forum Secretariat and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), the date change was agreed in order to ensure the full participation of the host country and to enhance the need for all key stakeholders to participate at the Forum. This year will mark the 10th anniversary of the Forum and will discuss, among other topics, the shifting paradigm from state-centric institutions to citizen-focused approaches.
